EXPERIENCE THE BIGGEST SKIING IN AMERICA! Come ski the sky! The snow queen has been smiling and snowing on Big Sky Resort through the opening of the 2009-10 ski season providing the most acreage available in the Rockies.
Custom built, this architecturally designed and meticulously maintained vacation home rental, "War Dance", is located in the Rocky Mountain Village of the Big Sky Ski and Summer Resort in southwestern Montana. Sitting on the mountain on a secluded residential cul de sac adjacent to the ski slopes, it is a ski-in ski-out accessible location. Just click in those ski boots and ski out the front door to the Thunderwolf High Speed Quad. For the cross-country skier, we are also located on a major trail of the nordic trail system. Our beautiful vacation home is nestled in the trees where the Middle Fork Creek of the Gallatin River runs at its edge and Lake Levinsky waits at the top of the road. And, three of Montana's blue ribbon trout rivers are nearby. All of our guests enjoy our home and Big Sky as much as we do.
In terms of vacation home rentals, there is no other location in closer proximity to the Big Sky ski and summer resort base area. Yet, we are far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing.
The Yellowstone National Park boundary is just 18 miles down the road, which makes our upscale home an excellent base for day trips to the park through the western entrance at West Yellowstone.
War Dance is ideal for one or two families (maximum of ten) or a group of no more than eight adults in three bedrooms (1K, 1Q, 2D 2T) and overflow sleeping on a queen size murphy (1Q) wall bed in the family room with 3-1/2 baths.
There is no other vacation home rental on the mountain more comfortable, finely appointed or conveniently located for this value. We provide every amenity to make your stay an enjoyable one.
2009-2010 Ski Season News!!!
9/30/09 - The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has confirmed El Nino, the warming of equatorial Pacific water which sets up a weather pattern in North America, has set up again. Historically, data indicates that Big Sky Resort receives more than average snowfall during El Nino years.
During the last two most recent El Nino years, Big Sky Resort received approximately 15% more snow than average. Big Sky and southwestern Montana trend with the Rocky Mountain weather patterns while north western Montana weather patterns are heavily influenced by the Pacific Northwest. NOAA data reinforces this pattern and shows that traditionally in El Nino systems the Northern Rocky Mountains receive less snowfall while the Rockies receive more than average snow.
While El Nino years do not guarantee great snow, the recent data does indicate that we could expect an excellent winter.
So, isn't it time you try the Big Sky-Moonlight Basin interconnect with 5,512 acres of terrain, 4,350 feet of vertical and No Lift Lines!!!
